Xiaomi announced the Mi CC9 Pro. It has six cameras and a massive battery
“Almost a flagship” with a 108-megapixel camera.
At a presentation in China, Xiaomi introduced the long-awaited Mi CC9 Pro – an improved version of Mi CC9. This is the second smartphone in the world (after Nokia 9 PureView ) with a 5-module main camera.
The 6.47-inch AMOLED display is curved around the edges, supports HDR and has a resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels. An optical fingerprint scanner is built into the display – it works correctly even if the finger is wet, and offers a wider scanning area. This is the first smartphone in the world with such a sensor.
A 32-megapixel selfie camera was placed in the drop-shaped recess. But the star of the program is, of course, the main camera. It consists of five modules, of which three were taken out in a separate island: this is the main 108 megapixel manufactured by Samsung, a 5 megapixel TV with support for 5x optical and 50x hybrid zoom, and a 12-megapixel portrait lens.
Separately, two more modules were placed: a super-wide 20 MP with a viewing angle of 117 °, and a macro lens of 2 MP. These five cameras are complemented by two LED flashes. In addition to shooting in high resolution, the Mi CC9 Pro also offers intelligent scene enhancement, super-night mode, and 4K shooting.
The heart of the smartphone is the Snapdragon 730G processor – the less powerful flagship Snapdragon 855+, but still in the top segment among the manufacturer’s chips. The battery capacity is an impressive 5,260 mAh. Fortunately, the company added a fast charge of 30 watts, so from 0 to 100%, it charges in just 65 minutes.
Out of the box, the Mi CC9 Pro runs on MIUI 11 powered by Android 9 Pie. The firmware includes Game Turbo 2.0 game mode and a powerful speaker that produces the sound “twice as loud as compared to the speakers of other smartphones.” The smartphone supports Bluetooth 5.0 but retained a 3.5 mm headphone jack.
On November 5, Xiaomi opens pre-orders; on sale in China, the smartphone will arrive on November 11 in three colors: black, green and pearl white. The cost of new items is as follows:
- 6 GB + 128 GB – 2,799 yuan
- 8 GB + 128 GB – 3 099 yuan
- 8 GB + 256 GB – 3 499 yuan
It is expected that Mi Note 10, which will be presented in Spain tomorrow, November 6, will become the European analog of Mi CC9 Pro.
